2020 Mazda CX-9 for Sale in Langley

The three-row SUV is an increasingly popular format, offering the people-carrying power of a minivan but with the comfort, style, and performance of a high-end family car. The Mazda CX-9 is a great example of this approach, and since its launch in 2006, it has become an excellent choice for those wanting to carry up to seven people in comfort and style. The new 2020 model is now available in our Langley dealership. Check out our inventory below:

What's New for 2020?

Exterior and Looks

Exterior and Looks

The CX-9 is very pleasing to the eye. It doesn't deviate from the typical SUV shape in any major way, but all its small design details add up to a good-looking car that's smooth and refined rather than chunky and imposing.

Performance and Handling

Performance and Handling

The CX-9 is powered by a 2.5L turbo engine producing 227 horsepower and 310lb-ft of torque. Impressive though those figures are, they can be improved even further by using hi-octane fuel rather than regular unleaded. Switching to the premium gasoline pushes the ponies up to 250 horsepower and the torque to 320lb-ft, with the torque available at a relatively low 2,000rpm.

The power is passed to all-wheel drive via an optimized six-speed automatic transmission which shifts seamlessly at all the right places. This combination of engine and transmission results in a smooth ride, with sharp and responsive handling.

Fuel Economy

Fuel Economy

For a three-row SUV, the CX-9's fuel economy is highly competitive. Official figures rate the Mazda at 11.6L / 100km in the city, dropping to an impressive 9.1L / 100km for highway driving.

Safety Features

In crash tests and safety evaluations, the 2020 Mazda CX-9 scores top marks across the board with both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). However, this is just the starting point.

The CX-9 offers a strong suite of active safety features which are standard across the range, rather than being optional extras. Highlights include:

  • Emergency front braking with pedestrian detection.
  • Adaptive cruise control with stop-go function.
  • Blind spot monitoring.
  • Rear cross-traffic alert.
  • Automatic high beams.

And if that list isn't enough, higher trims add extras including a full 360-degree camera, a head-up display, parking sensors at the front and rear, and steering-responsive headlights.

Interior and Tech

As standard, the CX-9 is fitted with a 7" touchscreen to control the infotainment system, providing easy access to all the active safety systems and multimedia features. Higher trims boost the screen size to 9" and add the option of a premium audio system.

For comfort, the CX-9 offers three-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and an eight-way powered driver's seat. Higher trims extend the heating to the second row of seats, which can also be upgraded to the captain's chair format.
