What to Expect from the 2021 Mazda CX-5

The design of the CX-5 is both comfortable and functional while maintaining an attractive vibe. It has available heated front and rear seats and luxurious materials like Caturra Brown Nappa leather and genuine layered wood trim. Also, certain trims offer genuine wood trim and decorative stitching. This gives the vehicle an upgraded feel.

From the smooth body angle to the rounded back end, you'll be sure to stand out on the busy roadway. Find the benefit of graceful symmetry lines and smooth shaping that merges for powerful aerodynamics.

Performance

The Mazda CX-5 has an available 2.5 Turbo engine, which delivers up to 250 hp and 320 lb.-ft of torque. It's paired with i- ACTIV AWD.
You can get Off-road Traction Assist as a standard feature. This will give you greater traction control during your navigation over uneven types of ground.

Infotainment & Safety Tech

The Mazda allows you to be connected to modern amenities and has convenience at your fingertips. With the Mazda CX-6's Mazda Connect Infotainment System, you can seamlessly connect your iPhone or Android phone to access music, maps, contacts and more, on a large, full-colour 10.25-inch infotainment display.
If you're needing more information on the go, the Mazda Connected Services shows you information about your vehicle's health status report. It also allows you to start the engine, lock and unlock the doors remotely, and more. You can do all of this through the MyMazda App. Discover the highlights of Mazda's many safety features, including:
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Smart Brake Support
  • i-Activsense
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Mazda radar cruise control
  • Adaptive front lighting
  • Smart braking
  • Lane departure warning
  • Driver attention alert

Should I Buy a New or Used Mazda CX-5?

For 2021, the CX-5 adds the new Kuro Edition (Carbon in the US) in the lineup. It comes with a new infotainment system, unique Polymetal Gray and Dark paint, a higher-definition 360-degree camera, driver-attention alert, and rear automated emergency braking.

The Mazda CX-5 doesn't get a major redesign for 2021, so you may want to consider a 2020 or used model, which will likely cost less than a new model. The only big update is the addition of several new connected apps and safety driver assistance features that were optional in older CX-5 models.
